I have seen this tree before when I was young, I also tried eating it.. It looks delicious, tapi punya onsom! This pix reminded me of my dad's orchard (langsat) in the kampung!..

awww we call this "camias" in one of the local language in the Philipines. I used to climed on that tree. The tree is not that firm though so when you climed on it it will sway... But the frut is sour although i love i just dip it into the salt.

Hi kaibigan jerla oh lalala...
hope I'm not make you salivating too

nice name "camias" i never heard about it..

but when i run some check inside internet "Camias" (Kamias) is Not Cermai, it is a bilimbi or belimbing assam. Also one type of fruit not cermai..

or..it is another language in Philippines but different meaning

Tama? Someone need to correct this

i grew up eating that fruit! and i do miss and crave for that fruit since i moved to another place, and the tree of our neighbor where we used to pick those fruits from had already been cut eons ago.

in the philippines, or at least in our neighborhood, we call it KARAMAY. some friends of mine told me that it's also called chinese kamias.
